Hey Tairāwhiti schools!
We are back for another year on the Challenge! Let’s see what we can achieve this year between February and November with schools and businesses participating!
In 2024 our amazing Tairāwhiti schools logged 81,748 journeys with 1,690 students participating.
The Te Wero ia Wenerei Challenge in schools is supported by Mercury, to encourage even more students and teachers to change the way they travel to and from school.
Making the Challenge even more fun and exciting for students and schools is the amazing cash prizes and rewards we have up for grabs from Mercury.
Participating schools are in to win their share of:
- $16,000 in Term cash prizes, staffroomand classroom shouts and gate activations prizes.
- $6,000 in grand prizes drawn at the end of the year.
