The challenge is on for 2025

THE SCHOOLS CHALLENGE - SUPPORTED BY MERCURY

Made possible thanks to the Auckland Climate Grant, the Auckland Council Sustainable Schools Team and Auckland Transport, the Wednesday Challenge encourages students and teachers to bus, bike, walk, run, scooter or mode share their way to school. It’s our way of reducing road congestion and carbon emissions, reducing school gate congestion and encouraging better health and wellbeing.Making the Challenge even more fun and exciting for students and schools is the amazing cash prizes and rewards we have up for grabs, thanks to our amazing friends and supporters at Mercury.

Participating schools are in to win their share of:
- $16,000 in Term cash prizes, staffroom and classroom shouts and gate activations prizes.
- $6,000 in grand prizes drawn at the end of the year.

THE BUSINESS CHALLENGE

Our Auckland Businesses Challenge kicks off April 30th, with people in business choosing a healthier mode to get to and from work. Instead of taking the car, by biking, running, walking, catching the bus or train or carpooling they're protecting the environment, reducing traffic congestion and improving their health and wellbeing. Business particpants are competing for their place on our leaderboards and the chance to win prizes and rewards.
