If you’re a school, tertiary institute or kindergarten in Tairāwhiti, come join us on the Challenge.
It’s so simple! Instead of the normal school drop off and pick up, simply encourage your students to choose a different way to travel. Bus, bike, walk, run, scooter or carpool instead. Help reduce road congestion, make our roads safer, our environment cleaner and your health and wellbeing better. Then every Wednesday that they do, they get to log points and win cool prizes for their school.
If you’re a parent, friend or whānau of students at a participating Tairāwhiti school, you can also sign up as an individual, join their School’s team, and when you travel differently on a Wednesday your points will also go to your nominated school.
The Wednesday Challenge Tairāwhiti runs every Wednesday in September, October and November.
Getting to and from school, every Wednesday, students, teachers and whānau can earn points for their school by choosing a better mode than jumping in a car.
For your health, the environment or to be in with a chance of winning some great prizes, find out why thousands of other individuals, businesses and schools and are taking part.
